August 4, 2008 – Whip Cream Pie

So I ate a whip cream pie at work on Friday. more hereI had the fastest time of people in my heat too — PIE EATING CHAMPION! Worked on ArcadeFly‘s landing page and a few others this past weekend. Right now nothing is being caches though, so every page request means querying the database and rendering the page (for the game page that’s about 110 components being rendered). Even though they’re real simple it still takes a lot longer than it should because it has to go through the framework. It’s been a good learning experience so far though. If anyone has any feature suggestions for what’s there just let me know. The top thing is just getting content; but that’ll come soon enough. I think I might make a day of Sunday and just go from arcade to arcade in Orlando entering everything I can.
