Adobe Developers of Orlando Unite

If you’re an Adobe developer in central Florida, make sure to check out the newly created Adobe Developers of Greater Orlando Usergroup. The focus of the group will be on Adobe languages and issues facing developers in general. Please check it out and sign up if you’re interested. Topics listed there are a recap of what we discussed in the previous pre-meeting last week, and although nothing has been finalized we are making great strides towards having an active usergroup in Orlando once again.

    I’m interested in the group. I have a flash podcast (http://podcast.planetoftheweb.com) and teach three Flash classes at Seminole Community College. I would be interested in presenting as long as it didn’t conflict with my teaching schedule (Tues & Weds nights). I just finished a book called “Multimedia for Designers” which uses Flash as it’s core…due out in August. I recently spoke at IADT in Tampa.

    I’m not really interested in Coldfusion though. Most of the development I do, other than flash is LAMP based.

    That’s great ray! Right now meetings are set for Tuesday night; but since things right now are so far down the road I’m sure we can make it work.

    The group won’t be focused solely around ColdFusion, although a lot of us in seem to have started there. It will be anything related to Adobe programming, so ColdFusion, Flex, Actionscript and Air mostly. Since all of us are developers by trade we wouldn’t want to get anything too far to the design side without a tie in to how to work with it at a developer level.

    Too bad you’re not closer Adam. I’m in Coral Springs (Broward). I’m glad to know though, that there are some good contacts relatively close to where I live. Contact me when you have a chance so we can exchange business information.
